About Dr. jur. Can Ansay – Entrepreneur & Health-Tech Pioneer
About

Entrepreneur by conviction. Human by responsibility.

Entrepreneur

As a founder, CEO, and health-tech pioneer, I build digital business models with one goal: to make care simpler, more efficient, and more accessible. My strength lies in bringing together technological possibility, regulatory reality, and social benefit — raised multiculturally, shaped by creativity, trained in law, and fluent in technology.

I build new systems wherever existing structures hold people back unnecessarily — direct and outspoken, on panels, in the media, and in contact with users. Making complex ideas tangible and conveying them with genuine passion is my craft.

Human

I combine a legal perspective, entrepreneurial experience, and technological curiosity. My focus: designing complex systems so they become simpler and more accessible for people.

As a child I programmed a Latin dictionary on the Commodore 64 and sold hand-picked oranges to beachgoers — experiences that showed me early on how much you can achieve with modest means. Later I studied law, worked as an attorney, and made films in Los Angeles.

The pivotal moment came in 2013, when an online symptom checker delivered the correct diagnosis faster than four doctors consulted beforehand. That was the starting point for an entrepreneurial career that has significantly shaped Germany’s health care system ever since.

Origins & Family

Between medicine and law — and always a little off to the side.

Born on March 1, 1977 in Hamburg and raised in the Rotherbaum district. My roots connect two worlds that still shape my thinking today: medicine and law.

My Father

A third-generation law professor from Turkey — awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, First Class, in 2007. From him comes my conviction that legal precision and social responsibility belong together.

Mother & Sister

Both physicians. In our home, medicine was never an abstract subject but a lived, everyday reality — and the reason health care has never let go of me.

The Child

My first programs on the Commodore 64 at age six. Violin and piano, a graffiti artist as a teenager — and at a holiday village in Turkey I sold hand-picked oranges to guests to buy myself sweets. Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, long before I had words for either.

The Outsider

I was always an outsider — between cultures, between disciplines, never quite fitting the mold. For a long time I saw that as an obstacle. Today I know it is my greatest strength. Those who don't belong see the gaps in the system that everyone else overlooks.

“Being an outsider was never a disadvantage. It was the chance to think about things differently.”
